Buddha Ratana Buckwheat (Kuttu) | Ancient Pseudo-Cereal • Naturally Wholesome • Gluten-Free
Rediscover the timeless goodness of Buddha Ratana Buckwheat (Kuttu), carefully selected from premium-quality buckwheat and hygienically processed to preserve its natural character, delicate texture, and distinctive flavour.
Although often grouped alongside traditional grains, Buckwheat is not a millet or a true cereal grain—it is a naturally gluten-free pseudo-cereal. Known as Kuttu in India, it has been enjoyed for generations and holds a special place in Indian kitchens, particularly during fasting (vrat). Beyond fasting, its versatility makes it an excellent ingredient for everyday meals as well.
Buckwheat has a naturally earthy, mildly nutty flavour and develops a soft yet pleasantly textured character when cooked. It can be used in a variety of preparations, including khichdi, porridge, salads, grain bowls, pilafs, and other traditional and contemporary recipes.
Naturally providing dietary fibre and plant-based protein, Buckwheat also contains naturally occurring minerals and other nutrients. Its distinctive flavour pairs beautifully with vegetables, legumes, herbs, spices, curd, and ghee.
At Buddha Ratana, every batch is carefully cleaned, hygienically processed, and thoughtfully packed to help maintain freshness and quality. With no artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives, our Buckwheat brings together traditional heritage, purity, and everyday versatility.
